“We live everything as it comes, without warning, like an actor going on cold. And what can life be worth if the first rehearsal for like is life itself ? That is what like is always like a sketch. No, “Sketch” is not quite the word, because a sketch in an outline of something, the groundwork for a picture, whereas the sketch that is our life is a sketch for noting, an outline with no picture.” The unbearable lightness of being - Milan Kundera
“모든일이 일순간, 난생 처음으로, 준비도 없이 닥친것이다. 마치 한번도 리허설을 하지 않고 무대에 오른 배우처럼…… 우리 인생이라는 밑그림은 완성작이 없는 초안 무용한 밑그림이다.” 참을수 없는 존재의 가벼움 - 밀란 쿤데라
Painting has always been giving me the possibility of becoming myself and having my freedom of making mistakes.I do not need to be perfect and be a perfect person. My creative joy comes from just forgetting things and forgetting about what is going to be. The freedom of ignoring rules, conventions and limitations always keeps me painting. I enjoy the creative freedom these tons of different colours are giving me.When I am painting, nothing else exists at the moment but the canvas and myself. I accepted myself that I am fragile and vulnerable, that I am prone to repeatedly commit mistakes and regret them.By admitting this, life became so much better than before. Painting has thought me that it’s okay to make mistakes, like ‘Who really cares?’
Making mistakes will bring you to another door, and it’s okay to go ahead.
